Discovery
At 8:12 Eastern Time, the shuttle Discovery landed safely at Edwards Air Force Base. They had a very capable crew and this proves there can be safe landings. We should not scrap the shuttle program.

Israel's Finance Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Resigns

Benjamin Netanyahu stepped down from his position as Finance Minister of Israel on Sunday, in order to protest the Gaza pullout. The Gaza strip will become a hotbed of terrorism (even more so) if Israel proceeds with its plans to pull out. Mr. Netanyahu made a good descision to step down, and I would have done the same. Israel's plans are unrealistic and foolish.

A-Bomb

Dropping the A-Bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki was absolutely necessary. America would have had to invade Japan and would have lost many lives. More people were killed in firebombing of Japanese cities. Do you hear controversy about that? We gave Japan a chance to surrender before and after Hiroshima, but they failed to do so. The A-Bomb was justifiable and necessary.

Blair's Tough Talk

Tony Blair recently gave a speech in which he spoke about shutting down terrorists and talking about committing acts of terrorism. Liberals have been complaining that he is advocating the restriction of free speech. When buses are exploding, the government (Britain or otherwise), should have the right to limit free speech. Tony Blair is completely justified in expelling anyone who condones terrorism

Naughty Novak?

On a recent news program shown on CNN, Robert Novak cursed and stomped off the set after a heated debate with James Carville. I wish I had the pleasure of watching it live but I didn't get to see it. I have seen the video of Bob's blowout on Connected: Coast to Coast, and I have to say Bob blew a gasket. Can ya blame him? I just laughed, it won't lessen my respect for him. He's still a respectable, intelligent pundit.

Karl Rove shouldn't resign. Why? HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG! That's why. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, I've heard all of the liberals yelling about Rove outing Valerie Plame and all that nonsense. We have no proof that Karl Rove did anything wrong, and we shouldn't ask him to resign unless there is CONCRETE proof that he broke the law.

The only reason she is doing this is to gain support from the voters who also inhabit the center of the political spectrum and the neo-conservatives of America. Zawahiri Tape

A new tape from Osama's number 2 Ayman al-Zawahiri came out. I don't know if I spelled his name right, but who cares, he's a terrorist. He repeatedly referred to a "truce" Osama bin Laden offered Europe. In order to reap the benefits of the truce, Europe must not support the War on Terror. Perhaps the recent attacks on London are a wave of European terror because they didn't accept the truce? Or perhaps al-qaeda just supports these individual cells across Europe. The other question: Where's Osama? He didn't pop up at 9-11 last year and the past four al-qaeda tapes didn't show him. Let's hope he died. The world would be a better place.
